So what’s this UK Skateboards and Longboards web site and online shop all about?

Well firstly we are related to APOLLO 11 extreme in as much as the Skaters that run it all came from Social Services, off the streets, suffer from learning and physical disabilities or simply didn’t have parents who where well enough to care for them.

They all skate and are passionate about the great sport and exhilarating pass time that is known as skateboarding.

With regret many members of the general public view skateboarders as “troublesome”, you couldn’t get further from the truth..!

In the main they are very loyal, trustworthy individuals, just misunderstood by there “urban gorilla” appearance.

This web site went live 20^th October 2008 and will grow over the next few months with the aim of providing you with an insight to our world in a way never shown before.

It will not be all smiles and laughs as several of the Team members have asked to publish there personal stories. These range from child abuse cases, drug and alcohol addiction, growing up on the streets and the realities of your parents disposing of you like an unwanted pet.

But all these Dudes have overcome these challenges through dame hard work, learning key values like, honour, trust and loyalty not to mention self respect.

You will be able to follow there journeys into adult hood step by step. Of course you may be able to relate with some of the articles and if you wish you will be able to email in private and or speak to them via a confidential phone line.

We will give you an insight into the lives of some famous skate names as never seen before, this includes original “Dogtown” riders, skaters from Tunnel and Bahne including undocumented information of what really went on! The good and the bad but the overriding fact is skateboarding was fun in the 1970’s and it still is today.
