This used to be a great way to save hard earned ££’s but with a poor exchange rate customs and the VAT man wising up you will be very lucky not to get a nasty import bill from the Royal Mail who pay it on your behalf and then come after you. This can add 30% or more to your bargain! If you don’t pay it you don’t get your Longboard.

Just like building a house anyone can provide a cheaper quote, usually by using cheaper materials, cheap unskilled labour, you get are drift.

 

Longbaords are the same; you can save a lot of money supplying cheap hardware, bearings, trucks and wheels to the same Longboard Deck. If you are on a limited budget that may not be so bad. But we see so many online shops undercutting each other and in the long run, excuse the pun you pay the price by getting rubbish bolted to a good Longboard Deck, 9 times out of ten you will not even know! Until you crash because your wheels are cheap Chinese rubbish or your bearings sound like an angry Rattle Snake.

The golden rule, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
